This week we have been using nonstandard units of measurement to see how long and tall things are. We have used cubes, counters, cotton reels, pencils, chairs, feet and hands to measure objects and ourselves!
We have also introduced measuring in Centimeters using a ruler. The children have been super excited to experiment and compare measurements using a ruler.
Our colour mixing journey so far…..
We have explored what happens when we take our paintbrush on a walk through blue and yellow paint. The children were fascinated to see their lines turn green. We have also created orange using red and yellow paint. We have then been using these skills to paint daffodils in the class room.
