Another busy week for Skipper Foundation!
We have finally had our first crop of strawberries in our Foundation Fruit Garden! They were super juicy and sweet! We enjoyed them for snack today!
The children have been super excited about their cycling sessions this week. Everyone has made great progress, pleases see the slips in bags with brief feedback on from Jon – our bike officer.
The children have given this lovely feedback…
Alice- “The best bit was gliding – I was super fast!”
Alfie – “I was the first one to get two pedals on my bike. I can do it all by myself. It felt good”.
Alfred- ” It was good, I can cycle and stand up at the same time and just have one hand here (on his head) and one on the bar. It was soooo good”.
Freya – “I liked weaving around the cones. It was really good, I liked it”.
Tommy – ” Did you know… I didn’t knock any cones down! I was really good at it. Then I tried to do one handed too”.
Ingrid- ” I didn’t knock down the cones or anything. It was fun riding our bikes.
Zac – ” I tried with one hand on the bar and one on my head – I did it but really quickly. It was tricky, but I kept going. We had bean bags too. I liked the cone bit too.”
Leela – ” I rode round and around. I took one hand off and only hand one hand on – it was a bit wobbly but I did it!”
We are super proud of all the children who took part! They displayed great resilience and were very well behaved.
Language day…
We had a lovely Story read to us by Shaun’s mum in Hindi and we learnt the words frog and snake.
We also had a go at saying hello in lots of different languages. Skipper have loved singing this song.
We are so proud to have different languages in our class.
